Moving On To Better Things

Don't worry the blog's not disappearing! It's just moving to a better site!

http://umusic.tumblr.com

Still rockin' the Underground Music Lobby. This website makes it easier to queue updates, so Music Monday songs can be set whenever I have time and be updated regularly! So cool! Easier to embed music videos for your viewing too! So enjoy and be sure to follow me there!

I have a cool video up there already just for you!

Music Monday is BACK!

I heard this song for the first time in a Cadillac commercial. I loved the beginning riff of the song so much, I had to find out the name of the song so after so much searching on YouTube I finally figured it out. I promptly downloaded the song, and have been listening to it a lot ever since. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

And yea, Music Monday is back!

Also keep a lookout for the other days this week:
Tunes Tuesday
and
Sonic Saturday

There will be also be a special post on Thursday specifically for Zahra.

"Hallelujah" - Leonard Cohen

This is the original writer and singer of the song "Hallelujah". Leonard Cohen was once banging his head against the wall in a hotel room trying to come up with the final verse for the song. He had written literally hundreds of verses that he didn't use because he wanted the perfect one. I believe the song took him years to write.

This song, however, has stood the test of time. It has been covered so many times and by so many prominent artists. It has even become singles by these artists. Jeff Buckley and Rufus Wainwright are prime examples of this. This song is truly amazing, and I think everyone should really take some time, appreciate this video, and appreciate the amazing songwriting that this song encompasses.
